The Magician! The High Priestess! The Hierophant!

Long before the modern age of Dueling, these names (and many more) had special power when placed on cards. The wisest mystics spent centuries trying to see into the future, using the power of these cards. Each one had a special meaning – to those with the insight to understand.

Now, these cards take on a life of their own, as the Prophecy monsters enter the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!

The Power of Prophecy

Prophecy monsters are a new kind of Spellcaster, who are searching for the deepest secrets of creation. They already possess the fortune-telling power of the cards (since they came from cards themselves). Now they’re loving for a new source of power: Spellbooks.

Four great Spellbooks are already under their control, giving them Power, Life, Wisdom, and Secrets. ANY Spellcaster can use these Spellbooks, but if you can match the Spellbooks to the Prophecy monsters that closely match their effects, you can double their effectiveness.

The more your Prophecy monsters combine their knowledge, the stronger they can get. With the right monsters in play, you can use just 1 Spellbook to activate all of their abilities, then shuffle it back into the Deck and retrieve it once again. Knowledge is power!

And just using a Spellbook will let you Tribute Temperance of Prophecy to Summon a Level 5 or higher DARK or LIGHT Spellcaster straight out of your Deck. So what will it be: Dark Magician? Endymion, the Master Magician? Or the new High Priestess of Prophecy?

Return of the Duelist is just the opening hand for these card-based monsters. It’s time to stack the Deck against your opponents, because the next card you draw might be the final key you’ve been looking for!

The Machines Are Taking Over!

You thought it was just a harmless little sprocket. You thought it was just a cute little Machine that could never harm a fly. You were wrong. The seemingly harmless Geargiano from Generation Force has spent the last year calling all of his friends, and now they’ve finally shown up to the party.

Led by the mysterious super-bot with the slick shades, Gear Gigant X, they wage an unending war against urban decay, constantly assembling new soldiers to take to the streets and blow away abandoned lots and condemned buildings. If you’ve been looking to rebuild your game from the ground up, take the Geargia for a spin!

These Cards Cannot Be

Time itself is out of control! Now you can add some of the most famous artifacts from history to your Deck, like the Moai statues of Easter Island and the giant stone heads of the Olmecs. But by going back in time to get them, you’ve altered history! Now, ancient humans have acquired technology there’s no way they could have, and chronological anomalies have crept into the time stream, resulting in the Chronomoly monsters – monsters that should not exist, but somehow do.

Crystal skulls and golden gliders are weird enough, but they’re nothing compared to the Inca stone superfortress hovering in the sky. Time’s gone upside down!

Snack Time

Got the munchies? Check out the snack that never stops: the Madolche! (That’s Italian for “magical sweets.”) When Madolche monsters get destroyed, they go back into your Deck instead of to the Graveyard – because there’s always room for dessert! If you control their Madolche Chateaux, made of gingerbread and pastry, then your Madolche go back to your hand instead of to your Deck, so you can summon them again. Leave room for seconds!

With no monsters in your Graveyard, this Deck is a great combo with Guardian Eatos (available in Legendary Collection: Yugi’s World), which requires a monster-less Graveyard to Summon. (Who knew Eatos had such a sweet tooth!)

More GX Cards
If you’re looking for more Yu-Gi-Oh! GX cards to go with your cards from Legendary Collection 2: The Duel Academy Years and Ra Yellow Mega-Pack, look no further! Return of the Duelist includes 2 new GX cards: Miracle Contact and Advanced Dark.
Miracle Contact lets you Special Summon any “Elemental HERO” Fusion Monster that specifically requires Elemental HERO Neos as a Fusion Material. But the great thing about Miracle Contact is that you can use Fusion Materials from your hand, field, OR Graveyard, and you can completely ignore all of the Fusion Monster’s other specific requirements! Anything from Elemental HERO Dark Neos to Elemental HERO Neos Knight will now be at your fingertips.
Advanced Dark turns all of your Crystal Beasts into the sinister, DARK versions seen in later episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Besides becoming DARK monsters, your Crystal Beasts will allow you to avoid battle damage to your Life Points by sending Crystal Beasts from your Deck to the Graveyard – where you can use them with Crystal Blessing or Rainbow Gravity. Advanced Dark also allows your Rainbow Dragon and Rainbow Dark Dragon to negate the effects of monsters they destroy.
So get ready to get your game on – again!

Bigger Is Better!

Finally, there are 2 cards in Return of the Duelist that reward you for thinking big. Really, REALLY BIG.

First there’s Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer – a big, big monster with a big, big name! This Rank 10 Xyz Monster hits the field with 5000 Attack Points – the biggest Xyz Monster ever! Spells and Traps won’t stop it either, since you can use its effect to destroy ALL of your opponent’s Spells and Traps – and they can’t do anything about it!

Second, we’ve got Advance Zone. This Continuous Spell Card rewards you for Tributing, based on the number of monsters you Tributed for Tribute Summons this turn. If you Tributed a monster, you can destroy a Set card of your opponent's. If you Tributed two monsters, you get the first effect AND you draw a card. If you Tributed three monsters, you get the previous two effects AND return a monster from your Graveyard to your hand. You can even activate Advance Zone after you’ve Tribute Summoned – it still counts the monsters you’ve Tributed this turn! Advance Zone is a powerful new weapon to help Tribute-heavy decks like Steelswarm, Monarchs, Dragons, or anything that runs high-level monsters, like the Egyptian God Cards!!!
